Chuwait in 4th After 1st round AJGA TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior All-Star at Château Élan

Nathan Chuwait (2016) of Herndon, VA fired an even par 71 at the AJGA’s TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior All-Star at Château Élan Château Élan in Braselton, Georgia. The even par round puts him in a T4 position going into the second round. The course is playing 6,538 yards. Sam Jung (2018) of Chantilly, VA is two back of Chuwait after one round. You can read more about Chuwait in our Spotlight section. Crimson Callahan (2017), Chesterfield, MO, leads the boys, posting a two-under 69.
On the girls side, Shannon Brooks (2015) of Vienna, VA is also in the T14 position after having posted a 77 on the par-71 course that is playing 5,604 yards. Brooks is currently ranked 442 in the Polo Golf Ranking. She attends Madison High School. Gina Kim (2018) of Chapel Hill, NC leads the field after carding a 69.

DC Metro Area Well-Represented in Florida This Weekend | Junior Golf

As the headline indicates, the DC Metro area is representing big time in Florida this weekend. The TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior at Innisbrook hosted by Sean O’Hair Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club Palm Harbor, FL. Must be the spring break tour!
Connor Messick (2014) of Oak Hill, VA posted a first-round 1-over, 72, on the 7335 yard course. Another familiar name just a stroke back of Messick is Zachary Bachou (2015) of Forest, VA. In all there are nine DC Metro area boys competing. Scott Jaster (2013) of Bryn Mawr, PA is resting this evening after a round of 68 for sole possession of the first round lead.
Bryana Nguyen (2014) of Columbia, MD is the lone DC Metro area player in the girls field. She carded a 1-over 71 for a first-round T7. The course is playing 5,774 yards this week to a par-70.
