Trevor Times Passing
May 29, 2012 by DCM Junior Golf Staff
It is with a very heavy heart that we report the passing of a fine young junior golfer, Trevor Times. His passing was the result of a swimming accident.
Trevor was a senior at Jamestown High School (Williamsburg, VA) and an East Carolina University signee. Those familiar with junior golf in the DC Metro area and surrounding areas in the last few years likely either knew Trevor or at least knew the name. He was up and around the top of many local leaderboards over the past few years. He was a determined and dedicated player who most recently was named this year’s Bay River District High School Player of the Year. He continued that success with medalist honors at Virginia’s Region 1 Championship and ultimately took 3rd at the AA State Tournament. Just last summer he had an exciting week of golf at the VSGA Junior Match Play Championship. He went 22 holes for a win and then met another Virginia stand-out, Zachary Bachou, and won that match 2 and 1. While Trevor lost the semi-final match over 19 holes, his week was no less impressive finishing in the Top 4 out of 108 competitors.
Please join us as we extend our heart-felt thoughts and prayers for Trevor and his entire family at this time.

I send my most heartfelt condolences to Trevor’s family at this time of mourning. I cannot know your pain, but my own is large. Trevor was a wonderful human being. I feel so sorry for you at this time.
Our hearts are breaking for the Times family. Chas and Trevor played in many tournaments over the past 10 or so years. We were looking forward to seeing him and his family at this summer’s tournaments. Trevor not only was a fabulous golfer but a very nice young man with so much going for him. Such a loss for not only his family and friends but the golf world as well. Please pass on our deepest sympathy.
