Hulede Finishes 34th at AJGA Preseason Junior

April 23, 2012 by

John Hulede of Mitchell, MD competed in the AJGA Preseason Junior at Innisbrook this past weekend.  After first-round play, he was sitting tied for 20th after posting a 75.  Second-round play was met with similar weather as we experienced here in the DC Metro area, that is, blustery rain.  Conditions weren’t ideal, with only one competitor playing under par for the day.  Hulede managed to put up an 80 (41-39) for a two-day total of 155.  This was good enough for a T34 finish.  This should be a good tune-up moving into the spring/summer junior season.

Tzu-Wei Lin (70-73) of Bradenton, FL and Zach Pritchett  (73-70) of Ripley, MS tied for first at 143.  Emmy Martin of Odessa, FL finished first in the Girls Division, shooting a two-day 146 (75-71).

Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the Preseason Junior at Innisbrook was a 36-hole stroke-play competition played on the Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club North Course. The event featured 72 boys and 23 girls, ages 12-18, from 13 states, 13 countries and Puerto Rico. The Boys Division played the par-70 North Course at 6,039 yards while the Girls Division played at 5,510 yards.
