DC Metro Area High School Team wins VSGA Invitational

Westfield High School (Chantilly, VA) won the  3rd Virginia State Golf Association Foundation High School Invitational by 19 strokes against 22 other high school teams from around Virginia.

The tournmanet was played at Independence Golf Club (6,677 yards, par 36-36—72) located in Midlothian, VA.  Tim Ritter posted two rounds of 71 for Westfield.

Another local high school player from Oakton High School, Amanda Steinhagen, earned girls’ medalist with a 3 under, 141.

 Her team finished 7th overall.
